WHAT IS ENGLISH LEARNER PROGRESS?
English learner (EL) Progress is a measure of students who are learning English. This indicator demonstrates students’ progress toward becoming proficient in the English language. The WIDA ACCESS assessment is given to all English Learners in Utah annually, and measures the progress EL students make each year in listening, reading, speaking, and writing in English. Select 'View Details' to see comparison to the district and/or state. Visit WIDA’s website to learn more about WIDA ACCESS for English Learners, or to find more information for parents.
Due to the impacts of COVID-19, interpret 2021 scores with extreme caution. Comparisons of 2021 scores to previous years or across student groups, schools, and districts are not advised.
