Schools may choose to describe up to two additional pieces of information about how their school is supporting students. These self-reported indicators are not factored into school accountability calculations but provide the opportunity for schools to highlight successful programs or practices in addition to the indicators included in school accountability.


Science Specialty Class Year 2

We are in our second year of implementing a Science Specialty Class that focuses on the engineering process through hands-on activities. This allows the regular classroom teacher to go deeper into a concept while the specialty teacher engages the students in the ongoing, deep hands-on assignment.


Tier 2/Tier 3 Intervention

Our school has implemented a “Target Time” for all grade levels. This is a 30 minute block of time dedicated to reteaching using intentional, targeted instruction for students struggling on “school determined essential standards” in Language Arts, Math, and Science. Along with the implementation of “Target Time”, we have created a Student Intervention Team at our school. This team makes additional recommendations on teaching strategies and additional interventions to be implemented
