SELF-REPORTED INDICATORS
Schools may choose to describe up to two additional pieces of information about how their school is supporting students. These self-reported indicators are not factored into school accountability calculations but provide the opportunity for schools to highlight successful programs or practices in addition to the indicators included in school accountability.
SCHOOL-LEVEL FACTORS
B.E.A.K. Program
At Sego Lily, we are constantly trying to help children grow in Knowledge, Skills and Dispositions. In general, we do a great job of teaching kids content. As a district, Alpine District is continuing to focus on Knowledge, but we are also making a better effort to address the Skills and Dispositions that students will need to be successful. This year at Sego Lily we are excited to continue our Social Emotional Wellness program that was designed at Sego Lily for our school. This program is called B.E.A.K. and focuses on Balance, Endurance, Awareness and Kindness. These 4 areas of emphasis are presented each week in the announcements and also taught by our school counselor. Along with these presentations there are engaging activities for kids to help them understand and use these areas in their school and personal life. Additionally, kids are recognized publicly for demonstrating these skills and rewarded for their efforts.
