SELF-REPORTED INDICATORS
Schools may choose to describe up to two additional pieces of information about how their school is supporting students. These self-reported indicators are not factored into school accountability calculations but provide the opportunity for schools to highlight successful programs or practices in addition to the indicators included in school accountability.
PARENT & FAMILY ENGAGEMENT
High Participation During Student-Led Conferences
We are committed to fostering strong partnerships with our students' parents to ensure student success. We are proud to report that an average of 91% of families at Venture High School and Venture K-8 participated in 2024-25 Student-Led Parent Conferences. “Student-led” stands in contrast to traditional teacher-led parent conferences. This model gives students a more active role in discussing their academic progress with their families, while fostering deeper engagement and shared understanding of their learning journey. Our high parent participation rate reflects students’ enthusiasm in preparing for the conferences and inviting their families to attend. This approach has also strengthened parent connections and improved their understanding of the broader school community that supports their children. In short, the high participation rate illustrates our families’ commitment to their child’s growth, the value of student-led conferencing, and the importance of empowering students to take ownership of their learning.
