SELF-REPORTED INDICATORS

Schools may choose to describe up to two additional pieces of information about how their school is supporting students. These self-reported indicators are not factored into school accountability calculations but provide the opportunity for schools to highlight successful programs or practices in addition to the indicators included in school accountability.

INSTRUCTIONAL FACTORS

Professional Development

Literacy has been an area of focus for our school. All K-6 teachers are participating in LETRS training. This professional development is provided by the state and helps our teachers become literacy and language experts. Teachers are learning and deepening their understanding about the instruction needed to help students become successful readers. Professional development and literacy materials are aligned with the Science of Reading and Utah Standards. Our school has taken on a new math program this year. We are using Ready Mathematics, which provides a quality math curriculum for our teachers and students. Teachers are learning how to use this new program to help students deepen their understanding of mathematical concepts and put into practice the knowledge, skills, and dispositions needed to be successful learners.
