BLACK RIDGE SCHOOL

SELF-REPORTED INDICATORS

Schools may choose to describe up to two additional pieces of information about how their school is supporting students. These self-reported indicators are not factored into school accountability calculations but provide the opportunity for schools to highlight successful programs or practices in addition to the indicators included in school accountability.

SCHOOL-LEVEL FACTORS

School-Wide Achievement

For the 2023-2024 school year, Black Ridge Elementary will be focusing on high levels of student learning through the pursuit of individual grade-level SMART goals related to proficiency and growth in both literacy and math. Each grade-level team set a goal in each academic area based on beginning-of-year data, and teams will monitor progress toward these goals throughout the year as they assess and monitor individual student performance through learning targets and success criteria. Summer collaboration was spent on developing these learning targets and success criteria so that teachers and students would be clear on individual elements of mastery for each standard.

INSTRUCTIONAL FACTORS

Comprehensive Mathematics Instruction

During the 2023-2024 & 2024-2025 school years, teachers at Black Ridge Elementary will be participating in extensive professional development in the area of mathematics instruction. Through a partnership with Brigham Young University, teachers will meet every other week for two hours to receive instruction from trained staff members, district experts, and university professors to improve knowledge, skills, and dispositions related to mathematics instructions. 100% of teachers and administrators are participating in this program.
